Our Societies support hundreds of local arts and heritage projects. Each day we highlight a grant given in 2021.
The Art Society Blackheath has awarded a grant to Age Exchange, a hub of community activities specialising in reminiscence based intergenerational arts projects for people living with dementia, loneliness and isolation.
All donations from the Artvent Calendar will go towards The Arts Society’s grant giving fund, which awards grants to help preserve our artistic heritage, support the skills of artists and makers, and improve access to the arts for all.

Thank you - an apt and encouraging talk on this the shortest day of the year. We have many dark days ahead of us and need to hold on to the positive thought that the sun will return, bringing growth and good health to us all.
Thank you - but I was hoping you would finish your piece with a short clip of the sun setting at the winter solstice to show us the phenomenon you described.
