Here We Are Again! – the great British pantomime

Traditionally beginning after Christmas, discover Pantomime's commedia d’ell arte and harlequinade beginnings and discover why the magic of Pantomime is the heart of British Theatre during the festive season with Accredited Lecturer Tony Lidington.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Our Societies support hundreds of local arts and heritage projects. Each day we highlight a grant given in 2021.

The Arts Society Colchester recently awarded a grant to The Mercury Theatre, Colchester. The donation is to purchase equipment which will allow young people with learning difficulties to enjoy the theatre’s workshops and performances.

All donations from the Artvent Calendar will go towards The Arts Society’s grant giving fund, which awards grants to help preserve our artistic heritage, support the skills of artists and makers, and improve access to the arts for all.
