Denise Levertov's Light

Accredited Lecturer Karin Fernald reads "Light" by the British-born, naturalised American poet Denise Levertov. Karin, who has recorded three poems for the Artvent calendar, is known for her entertaining lectures on writers and diarists connected with the arts from the mid-18th to 19th century. As an actress she also works with musicians and performers to combine words and music. She has appeared at festivals all over England; on tour in Japan, Australia and Europe, and at the University of Cape Town Summer School. London venues include the National Portrait Gallery, the Foundling Museum and Dr. Johnson’s House. Karin trained as an actor at RADA and worked in theatre, TV and radio. She has a distinguished theatrical background including appearing at London’s Haymarket theatre with Sir Ralph Richardson, and at the Savoy Theatre opposite Robert Morley.
