MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Our Societies support hundreds of local arts and heritage projects. Each day we highlight a grant given in 2021.
The Arts Society Colchester recently awarded a grant to The Mercury Theatre, Colchester. The donation is to purchase equipment which will allow young people with learning difficulties to enjoy the theatre’s workshops and performances.
All donations from the Artvent Calendar will go towards The Arts Society’s grant giving fund, which awards grants to help preserve our artistic heritage, support the skills of artists and makers, and improve access to the arts for all.

I love Panto and I love history so for me this was a winner!
The liveliness of presentation made this talk a joy. Pantomime is no longer part of the Australian Christmas tradition so this was a cheerful informative piece of social history thank you.
These presentations have all been interesting, informative, entertaining, colourful and fun. What a super Advent Calendar- thank you very much Arts Society.
This one was so appropriate to cheer post Christmas on its way, as does a pantomime of course.
